What is the checksum? A SHA-256 checksum is a digital fingerprint of a file: a 64-character code calculated from every byte of it. Anyone who holds TO-001.glb can compute the code themselves (for example with shasum -a 256 TO-001.glb) and compare it with the one above. If even a single byte differs, the code is completely different, so a matching code shows that the file is the original artwork, unaltered.

The artwork is digital: a coin of polished black marble bearing a single numeral 1, silver-edged, whose face is a field of stars, which is its only inscription. It does not represent a specific currency, is not legal tender, a financial instrument or a token, and carries no promise of monetary redemption.

This object declares no denomination. Its price exists outside the object.

The artist has made one work and refuses to make another.

The market may accept the proposition, reject it, or ignore it entirely.

THE UNPRICED COIN (TO-001) is a digital 3D artwork: a master file of a black marble coin with a numeral 1. It is not a physical object, a share, a security or an investment.
It is the only digital artwork the artist will ever make. The artist's pledge: no other digital artwork, edition, series, collection or product will be created or sold, under THE ONLY or under any other name or pseudonym, ever.
What you see in the browser is a live viewer. Lighting, reflections and the slow turning of the stars are effects of the viewer; the artwork itself is the master file.
Digital files can be copied. Uniqueness here rests on the artist's documented pledge, the file's SHA-256 checksum, the certificate and the purchase agreement, not on technical copy protection.
The asking price is an artistic proposition, not a market valuation. No return or appreciation is promised.

I, Aaron Schwarzer, designate THE UNPRICED COIN, identifier TO-001, as the sole artwork released or offered for sale under this or any other artistic identity.

I commit not to create, authorize, or release another artwork or artistic edition under this identity.

I further commit that I will not create, authorize, publish or sell any other digital artwork, digital edition or digital product, now or in the future, under any name, pseudonym or artistic identity, whether this one or any other.

There will be no sequel, no additional edition, and no subsequent collection.

The finality of this commitment forms part of the artistic concept.

Clear terms governing ownership and intellectual property rights.

The provenance record begins with verifiable documentation of the object's creation and transfer. The buyer receives the digital artwork and the specific rights stated in the purchase agreement. Because digital files can be copied, how the single master is held, delivered and kept unique (custody, checksums, handling of copies) is to be defined in the agreement rather than assumed. Owning the artwork does not automatically transfer copyright or other intellectual property rights. The artist works under the name THE ONLY. The seller is the artist, Aaron Schwarzer, named in the legal terms, and the seller's identity can be verified during any acquisition, as required for contracting, payment, taxation and transfer of ownership.
